So i saw the sticky that suggested Real Estate Professionals get free exposure and gain business, by creating a blog, yet one of the blog rules is

"An entry cannot be created mainly for commercial purposes"

So im confused.

Discuss real estate topics, not feverish self-promotion.
Pretty similar to the forum rules.

Don't expect a ton of traffic.

I saw a great blog by real estate agent (not from my area but was good blog). He went over different style of houses. I found it interesting to know the difference between Ranch house vs. colonial vs. bungalow

If you are interested in making blog, committee to updating once a week. Write about different topics such as:
- Different style of houses
- What to look for when buy house for first time
- House from different error
- To have bath vs. shower
- Do you want living room & family room or just one is sufficient
- Is formal dinning room important for you
- how much house should you buy?
- Real estate market in your neighborhood
- Pro/Con of living in different city in your neighborhood

Basically talk about decisions new buyers have to go thru to figure out what they are looking for. You can post open house information or house you have up for sell. Make it interesting, make it relevant to your local market because you might have traffic but it could be from people who can't use you.... etc

I recommend you find topics of frequent searches. While I do not have a ton of conversations on my blogs, I do have frequent direct contact as a result. CD enjoys high traffic - blogging about a popular topic will eventually yield results.
