I am still wondering about whether to franchise or not. I know I won't unless it's the right franchise, but if its the right one, why not?

At one point, McDonalds had created more millionaires than any other company on earth.

Oh... Real Estate Franchise?
No clue.

It's odd, McDonalds has been involved in my process. I realize that buyers from Timbucto will buy from a bad franchise before they buy from a great independent whether it be fast food or real estate.

Well, which one will fit your needs the best? Some are flexible, some offer more internet, some have better name recognition. How much of what do you need?

I can tell you that ERA has fantastic tools and programs and strong internet presence. The seller security plan (guaranteed sale) is great for listings.

funny Brandon, I was just going to say the same thing... ERA has great tools and you can become part of Cartus Relocation. I am an ERA agent and really like the tools that I can bring to my clients. Especially the seller security plan. In this market, getting 90% of the appraised value can be very interesting to sellers. Also, the training is very good.

Good luck with your decision.

Shelly

A franchise must provide a strong value for its cost. The ROI must be in the 15 to 20% range minimally. Franchising is terribly expensive, yet as I noted earlier, a brand name will drive and develop enough business to cover its cost alone.
