Why did you not read and ask about this BEFORE you signed? Contracts 101--ask the question.

I like selling homes. I don't enjoy playing with flat fee brokerages.

The question was asked. And the response was not correct.

Aren't you glad I saw your question and responded correctly?

I have not signed anything except for " definitions of working relationships" document acknowledging that I received it , it is not a contract.

I emailed the sellers agent ( Redefy) and his response is below , so maybe he is right . I was hoping that somebody had used this company and could be more clear. Redefy is the sister of Trelora , Trelora does not operate here in Colorado Springs. Selling a home should not be this stressful.

You are correct. You don't have to pay for both. We can set the listing up to go live on Friday. That is alright. We will still plan on meeting on Wednesday.*
Have a great weekend.*
Best wishes,

The brokerage pays the coop agent, not the Seller. Maybe your new broker needs to be schooled on contracts.

On a side note . . . are you saying you selected your real estate agent based solely on what they are charging you? I hope you realize that not all real estate agents are the same.

Pretty sad that this agent doesn't even know how to fill out a listing contract. Mike J. is going to hate this but . . . I guess you get what you pay for.

Why would I pay more for a slick car salesman than an average Joe to buy a car from, same car, same price, right? The home will sell quickly regardless of who I hire. I asked this same question in another thread and got the right answer instead of all this gaslighting and confusion. My realtor at redefy will charge me 3k to list and then he makes 2.75% of the sale price if he brings a buyer , otherwise I pay 3% if another realtor brings a buyer. I'm not an idiot, I sold a home in Castle Rock last spring with a regular 5% agent and it truly is a blood bath financially ~

Ask your broker how many houses redefy has double ended. Your broker is not correct in his explanation of the fees.

Is your broker on salary and bonus?

I do not believe redefy brokers are Realtors. They are members of the MLS.

Once you sign, there will be an assembly line of licensees doing the minimum amount of work so they can go on to the next task.

Which box is checked on the top of page one?

Come back after and tell us what happened.

You know you have 36 posts total, they are not hard to read.

I have been licensed in Colorado for 28 years, and I teach contracts class. I have an employing broker's license and have held that status for 25 years. How does your broker compare?
