I thought real estate licensing exams are administered by the state. I am thinking of taking the real estate pre-licensing class with one of the Raleigh area schools so that I can do property management (not really interested in other aspects of real estate sales at this point). Has anyone else obtained brokers license for this purpose?

You have to pass the class exam to qualify for the NC State exam.
Neither test is very demanding.
