I am looking to buy a summer cottage. I found a couple of good ones on the internet. I'm not sure whether or not I should make an offer now or if I should wait to see if any better ones pop up in the next few months. What month usually has the most houses on the market to choose from?
Just kidding, each area is different and even when it isn't the busiest time, the house you may be looking for could be out there.
Just look around and see if you find what you are looking for.
a summer cottage? imho best time to buy is november through january - this (right now) is hot time for summer cottages!!! people get the fever and want to spend the summer on the beach, owners know this, in the winter, no one is thinking of summer cottages and owners want to get rid of them
good luck!!!! enjoy
In SoCal the best pricing is generally in the Fall, after school starts, the summer rush. But of course that depends on the current market, inventory levels, etc.

I guess I'll need to wait till next year to buy..
