From time to time, I'll see a new listing at some wildly high or low price, and almost immediately see a price increase or decrease that is clearly a correction of a typographical error. For example, $39,500 in the original listing is quickly corrected to $395,000.

I recently saw a home *sold* price that seemed crazy high. Here 'tis:

https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...1_M29470-18601

(If you're curious, you can look on Redfin and see the prior listing photos for this flip. )

Sale price shows $860K...almost seems like a transposition of numbers, like it should be $680K. Home sales are a matter of public record in this market. Anyone know if the sale price I'm seeing could be a typo? It hasn't changed since the closing date 3 days ago. I would think the final sales price is tied to what's been recorded with Los Angeles County, so probably not an error...???

the price you're seeing is what the Realtor entered. SInce it's public record, check back in 10 days.

or, since it sounds like you're thinking of listing your house for sale, call the listing agent and ask them the actual final sales price. If they say it was $680K, you might let them know, and see how quickly R.com changes.
