An aside. How are some of you getting to read the article as when I click on the link, a block soon comes up asking me to subscribe. This has happened on other links also.

Thanks
Houston Chronicle article?
My popup blocker works, I guess?
Sorry. I took that link because I originally read the story on Inman which has a solid paywall, and I thought it was worth sharing openly. Didn't realize they were aggressive about it.
REALTOR Mag?
As a REALTOR, I get free access. But, I didn't know there was any paywall.
I disagree. I think it will take a couple of years, but I think once consumers start seeing commissions on major portals, especially in the higher price points, they will be much faster to dump a buyer agent they don't think is good.
How many times have you read on here about people sticking with a buyer agent because they felt bad about firing them. I think if consumers see the agent is making $15k off of their purchase, they will start to require more knowledgeable service. It will take a while, but I think it will happen.
My clients can see the cobroke any time.
It is clearly on my VOW feed, and I provide it on any listings they decide to see.
I send the full MLS with the tax records, so they can get insurance quotes. It clearly shows the coop fee. In Colorado, if we have a buyer listing signed, they can ask and we have to tell them.

I read it on Inman. Looked like the same article, was there any difference in the details?
I don't think so.
I believe Inman found it on the Chronicle.
Yes, I think they attributed the article as appearing in the Chronicle on Inman so I assumed it was a word for word reprint. I skimmed through a bit and it looked the same so I didn't reread your link.
