This property was visited to deliver some flowers on Mother's Day. The front yard and side yards and back yard are like you see in the photo. How does such a garden - jungle like property hinder sales, if it hinders sales at all? Looks like snake heaven to me and you can barely see the house from the street.
Thanks.

Looks like Sleeping Beauty's castle after 100 years. Some people like it. No telling for taste. Even here in Phoenix where it's mostly desert landscaping you find somebody who goes overboard. Here's an example down the street from me. Not the same scale but annoying.

If the house itself is desirable in a desirable neighborhood, it won't impact things as people will just budget for a pro to come in and de-jungle the property.

Not everyone has a pathological fear of snakes.

Indeed, I don't even think about snakes when I see the photo. I do think about all the cuttin' that will be needed.

Everything about a property affects sales, to an unknown degree. Well-maintained vegetation is one of those things.

Looks like my next door neighbor's house. They have trees growing out of their water spigots and gutters and chimney. They can well afford to take care of it but they like it. They keep up with the rest of the house.

IMHO that is neither tropical nor a jungle. Its just overgrown. Big difference. Whether it is snake heaven or not wouldn't bother me. The majority of snakes most likely to be found in such a place are harmless anyway.

I'd be more concerned about the state of the house. The yard doesn't bother me at all.

It looks a bit unkept. Needs to have the trees trimmed and all the shrubs to frame the house. With that said people will wonder what else has not been kept up inside the house. Making the garden more interesting by adding some flowers with color adding some colorful hard escapes will make the property pop. Keeping the garden pests down too.
