I have a idea that I would like to share with you realtors.
A lot of people have pets...well dogs in particular, and when they have a showing, many sellers will leave with their dogs/pets.

Recently, while my house was listed, we would take our dog to a nearby pet store to walk around in during showings.

My idea iis for your brokers to maybe contact the managers of places like petsmart, petco etc. and see if there some way that realtors could tell their clients with pets to take their pets to these stores. AND to maybe help the business, a small discount could be offered if a person presented their agents card for a discount on something...All the client would have to do is say, I am having a RE showing and we came in to visit & shop, here is my agents card....and the cashier would know they give a discount. Or maybe the store could work out some kind if coupon for the realty co. to have for agents to give client.

Might give your client a place to go, and might give the pet place some business....could be a tidy little arrangement.

Well if anyone of you get what I am trying to explain, and think it has some merit, then run iwth it1 let me know if you think it is a good idea...or not

thanks! Crazyma

We looked at a house last week. The dog was there in its crate. CUTE little guy. We kept going back to the dog. But then we are more in the market for a new dog than we are a house at the second.

BUT, we had our realtor call the listing agent......... WHERE DID THEY GET THE DOG? WE WANT ONE! Sad I know.

If we DO move and put ours on the market our lil fur baby will go w/ us during showings. Might go up to the nearby PetSmart. We call it a "field trip" and she LOVES her "field trips".

I actually like your idea and I am going to check on it this week for my clients- I think it makes a lot of sense and will provide another service for my clients.
Thanks!

thank you....I am going to approach the 2 places close to me and see if they would be interested in doing something in cahoots with local realtors...it felt like I spent HOURS in them the 6 mths we were on the market and some coupons would have been sweet
