I think that would be awfully hard to do once you're up and running doing real estate. You do need to sleep and have a little family time! Real estate can start early in the morning and you can be working until 9:00 at night sometimes - even if you're not with clients, you're planning where to show homes or working on info for listing appointments. Sometimes the business runs you instead of you running your business. But I'd rather be busy working than waiting for the phone to ring.
I think it depends on the 'job'. Some of our realtors have vineyards, which bring income, or they run businesses that do not need them on call all the time (restaurants), and give them leads. Standing in a store or working in an office, on the clock, is very compromising to both businesses.
