Hi. My sister and I both took a job with different real estate agencies. She was immediately signed up on MLS (after paying of course). The agency I went with says I have to take an MLS class first and that MLS will call me with a time.
My question is how come there are two different rules for these agencies? My understanding at the agency I work is that MLS requires it. But, like I said, my sister (at another agency) does not have to.
Our Association has classes but are not mandatory. I paid my money and got access. I went back the first few months and took all the classes they offer on a variety of subjects. Our Association has a good education program. Sounds like different agency policies. Training a good thing. Our MLS (Innovia) has so many extra features you would never figure them out on your own..
We have two MLS's in Atlanta. One required you to take the class prior to granting access. That MLS is by far the hardest to maneuver in my opinion so the class was warranted. I think they offer classes every week so obtaining my access was quick after I received my license.
Thank you for your responses, now it makes sense to me.
