I think the Kohler ceiling mount "Laminar Flow" bathtub filler is definitely dated.

As a woman, I don't necessarily want the latest trend.

I look at functionality..........is it convenient to use? Is it easy to clean? Is it going to be real expensive and difficult to replace? {built in appliances}

The vessel sinks come to mind. Want to prop your toothbrush or razor over the edge of the sink? Don't think so. Easy to keep clean? Don't think so. Do I want to live with one? Don't think so.

LOL, I always wondered how water coming from the ceiling wouldn't splatter the walls around the bathtub...

In a water closet there is a dinkly little fan that doesn't ever work properly anyway, and therefore the stink remains. I have yet to see a window in a water closet.
We have a window in our toilet closet!

(We don't have one of the little fan thingies).

We bought it that way. Usually a bathroom with a window doesn't have a fan.
