I remember when my grandparents got burglarized for the 3rd time, and were too stubborn to move. The 4th time they were home and it scared them into getting out of there finally. When a neighborhood is targeted that often either the criminals live close by or they have founf it easy
pickings, either way I'd probably try to work with the neighbors and ploice to try and do something, and if that failed, be out of there.
One of those neighbours is a policeman, and one of the other thefts, he tried to stop, nearly got killed in the process, and the local police wouldn’t back him up, (He called them on his police phone).

Local police wont back up a fellow officer? Time to get out cuz now the cops don't even care.
Where do you live that you deal with this and also make another post about investing $5MM in RE?
The other one is just a bit of fun, well, partly.
This one is absolutely serious. I live in the UK, about 10 miles from London, in fact, from within walking distance, I can see the eastern part of the city. Probably in one of the most expensive areas of the south east. Response time for the Police is usually about half an hour, (that is, if they can find it on a map), so it’s easy pickings.
The majority of the houses that have been robbed, have recently had renovation work done, but this may be coincidental, as there is always some renovation being done in the area.
