I see a lot of people looking for info on first time home buyers, so maybe it would be a good idea to keep one large running thread. I am a first timer in the middle of the process, so I can't shed too much light, but there is an incredible amount of knowledge on this site for people like me.
Step 1) Obtain a pre-approval for a mortage to give yourself an estimate for how much you can be prepared to spend.
Step 2) Start looking at properties
Step 3) Put an offer on something you like...
