We have recently had our house in the market and the realtor asked us if we would be willing to rent our house at any point. We told her yes thats fine. Come to find out she took it off the market without our approval. We have been trying to call her and leaving messages and she isnt returning our phone calls. We know a couple who are interested in looking at the house and possibly buying but she hasnt returned their phone calls either. Just wanting to know if she broke her contract with us and if she didnt could we get out of that contract right now?

If you can't reach her, you should contact her managing broker (assuming that she's not the broker in charge).

The only thing I'm going to ask is, why do you feel like you shouldn't have to pay for advertising?

She obviously spent the funds to run the paper ads, put the signs out, etc... You said there's been traffic to the house (albeit no offers) so something must have been done right.

I've put multiple directional signs (at my expense) out for my listings, only to have neighborhood HOA's or county/city 'patrols' swipe them - just money out of my pocket... Not to mention all the color brochures I put in sign boxes (again my expense).

Just wondering!
