According to the news on NPR, Seattle and San Francisco saw home price increase in this last month. Charlotte, Detroit and Miami are at the lowest in 4 years. And I left SF to move to Charlotte

Why are you crying?
If you were a homeowner in SF...
then you sold at near the top of the market (there)
and took those dollars to where they'll buy you far more property (NC).

It's true I sold at the top of the market in the bay area, but I bought in Charlotte 2 years ago and my house officially declined in value "just got an appraisal". I don't plan to sell but it's the psychological effect of seeing the value go down.
