1 bedroom, 1 bath condo
441 square feet
built in 1985
but hey, you get to live above your own 1 car garage, included in the price, so I guess we've got Manhattan beat hands down.
current taxes: 1,162
HOA $157
Located in Mission Viejo, CA
As per 2005 figures it looks like the median household income for the area was $90,855
So hey, at least that family should be able to easily get into that 441 sq ft 1 bedroom condo.
Now how folks are getting into single family homes given the insane prices here... I don't know.
OK with the lax lending standards of recent years, I guess I do know.
How folks will do so if there is a return to any kind of financially responsible lending standards is another question.

Reason: Added income figure
I dont have a photo but will be putting a home on the market in the next few weeks. It is on Longisland, about 1250sq feet, 4 bed, 2 bath, basement, 60x100 lot. Taxes are $6000 and it is a 1972 cape house.
I am hoping to price it for about $300,000. It will have a new bath, kitchen, roof, basement totally gutted and redone, maple floors thruought, freshly painted and also new windows.
Hmm...far too many to list, here's a nice one over 4000sq ft, 5bed, 2/1 bath 1258sq ft basement (not included in the 4000sqft) full deck, master bath w/jacuzzi tub

What is the price? Is that an average home in your area? Is the median?
