I am buying a place and my current landlord will be showing my condo tomorrow.. it is prestine, very clean but one problem: where to put the litter box?????? heres some options:

A:I had it in the hall closet but that is not a good idea for a showing
B:The bathroom: it is narrow and long and nowhere to "hide" it.. it will be in the middle of the floor
C:Upstairs loft area: I am scared to put it there bc my cat is not use to going upstairs to use the box.. dont want any messes for the showing amd there is carpet up there.
D: the living room: nowhere to put it really

what a delima everything else looks great!

thanks for ideas/suggestions

How about taking the cat to kitty daycare and emptying the box and putting it out of the condo.

not really an option to do everytime she shows the place.. she knows I have a cat so no reason to hide it.. and it might help if the prospective tenant has a cat.. it is what it is. Just need to figure out where to put the darned thing!!

I'd put it wherever you normally keep it.

I have an old round table that I throw a cover over, and stick the cat box underneath it.

Just make sure its pristine clean, and buy the most expensive kitty litter for the duration and mix a lot of baking soda with it. Empty the litter. Or get one of those expensive enclosures with the fan and the filter on the fan.

Just clean it and leave it where it is now. I think you are way overthinking this one.

We had the same questions with our recent sale.

Some folks will hate cats/pets so much that they will not make an offer. Others have mixed feelings. Many have pets and understand.

As others have said. We just made sure the litter was clean and let it go at that.

Exactly. Because if the cat can't find the litter box, or doesn't like the new location, your landlord will have a lot more to worry about than the occasional fussbudget who freaks at the sight of a litter box.

Put it in the bathtub or shower, then close the curtain (after you let kitty know where it is )
