She lives in a co-op low income, she has an initial investment and has lived in it for quite sometime now. There is a waiting list for her unit because it is a 3 bedroom... they could live in that but she has a little dog that is at her fiancee's house and she can't have pet's at her place. She has already been fined for it ...($100.00 fine) Neither her or her fiancee want to give up the dog! So they have the ability to get rid of her place...that is the easiest thing to do with her place.
I think they are having a problem letting his house go back to the bank (the stigma) I told them "Look around" and his parents told them the same thing about letting it go back to the bank.
I agree with your statment "Good money after bad" I told that to my daughter today... it was so funny when I read it in your post.
Boy, I am so glad that I retired from real estate in 2000. I still have my license in holding with my company for referrals.
I'm not sure if there is an answer to this delima....

What's your timeline that you are thinking about searching for the place you will call home?

2008 or '09 when the market for sellers gets better

GMTA. Yes the R/E Industry as we knew has changed dramatically.

Tough way for the kids to get started.

Hope they listen to the parents.

Sunny, you may be about right on target with 08-09. 08 may be a bit fuzzy yet for Real-estate.
