I should have used the term "right-wing Republican" to narrow it down. Ted Nugent is a good example. There's a distinctly selfish personality type that latches onto conservative ideology because it most closely fits their brain patterns. See amygdala research.

I had hoped that it wouldn't devolve, again, into politics. But some people simply don't have a life and think politics absolutely MUST be dragged into everything, probably even what breakfast cereal they eat (or don't eat). Sad, really.
