We are looking to buy a house with some property in North Idaho. We are using the app available on Realtor.com to search for properties and have found several we are interested in. I have emailed the Realtors via the app where it says to email for more information but even after two to three emails I am getting no response from the agents.

Any ideas why the agents are not responding to emails? Does this app send the emails to some big email bank or directly to the selling agent?

Because Realtor.com is selling leads to agents now and the agents that are getting them probably don't have time or care enough to respond. It isn't their listing so they have no attachment. You should just hire a buyer agent and send them the addresses of the homes you want to view.

I'd still recommend a buyer agent either way. Research a few that look like they have a clue and go meet the agent in person to see who is good. You'll likely come out ahead in the long run than by going through the listing agent.

We are not local to the area we are looking right now. We are trying to narrow it down to a handful of places that we like as they appear in pictures and description then when we can we will go up and walk through the places and go from their.

Get connected with someone you like with some internet searches and get that local agent to set you up with MLS access. It will be more descriptive than Realtor.com and also give you a chance to pre-screen someone to see if you like them or not.

Why should or would a buyer want to go through you so you can forward their info to the listing agent. Realtor.com is all screwed up and getting worse. Get your prices in line and more agents will come back and these issues will go away. This is why Realtor.com has fallen behind Zillow and some other sites.

But Brandon, they show huge amounts of hits on my listings. 56,000 for one of my listings. In the past 4 years I think I've had 4 "referrals" from their site. Maybe 400 from my own website.
