We've had this man come by last week the first time, the second time he brought his wife and the third time, a friend of his. Why don't they just come once or twice and if interested make an offer instead of wasting our time. Like you said, the house needs to always be fluffed up and we need to not be there, etc. I wonder if some realize how much they inconvenience the seller by doing this.

Look at it from a buyers' perspective. Basically your telling someone who's making the biggest purchase of their life to speed things up for your convienence.....

What's happened to you has happened to most sellers, even in a good market...

Do you buy home like that? or Do you walk into a house and decide on the spot, that 's the house you going to buy?

1st time they are looking at a few. 2nd time means he liked it and is bringing the wife. 3rd time he brings someone to give input on something they weren't sure about, and if they don't make an offer means that something couldn't be changed to their liking.

Feel lucky you got to 3 showings

We bought both our houses in Texas and New Mexico on first showings. We knew what we wanted before we started looking and can make a decision without friends and relatives input.
I can understand a person looking a couple of times but after that, they should be able to make a decision. I know of a case where someone was selling there house and the person came by 13 times to look and made no offer.

Basically, I am but only because I am impatient.
Really though, it gets stressful because in my mind I think decisions can be made after a couple of showings.

I do feel lucky that we are getting a lot of showings but I tend to get my hopes up when we have several showings from the same person and they haven't made an offer.
Sounds silly but I want this to be a done deal so bad. I can handle stress pretty well and wondered why I was stressing out over this so much and I found out today on this forum that I'm not the only one. Good vibes being sent to all the sellers out there.

Same thing happened to me. Looked at a house, had it appraised, made an offer, and it was rejected without a counter.

Come to find out they're only interested in selling if they can net enough for a bigger, nicer home for themselves.

Wish sellers wouldn't waste our time, if they're not serious about selling.

In this market, you just have to be patient. There is so much inventory that unless they feel that it's "the house" they want to see what else is out there.

I'm a seller too. I was a buyer until we finally found something.
