Pre paying PMI?? (payment, tax, money)

Do you all think that it's a good idea if I can afford to pre pay the pmi? Would I miss any tax benefits?

If I were you I would pay on the principle instead. Once you get the principle down to 80% you won't have to pay PMI.. IIRC

Put that money toward your down payment and perhaps there will be no PMI.
