Would it be a good idea to go see a house if it's raining?

well, you could tell if the roof leaks or if there are drainage issues in the yard!

If it is a house that you really like, you can always go back when the sun is shining.

Why not?

(Unless you plan to live somewhere else on rainy days.)

Almost any house can look nice on a beautiful sunny day. A rainy day lets you see if there is leaking or water issues in places like the basement or where the gutters run off.

For me it is best that you show up your house when it rains because buyers will have an idea on what to expect on your place when they choose to live there and if there is nothing you hide to them raining days is best to show your place. But if you have something to hide then you can't show your place especially when it rains.

YES!!!!

When we went house shopping it was in POURING rain/thunder/lightning. It made it more difficult to get from car to house, but it helped us rule out a few houses immediately because it was evident they had leaky basement issues! It was good to know that before it became our problem!

Definitely it has advantage as you can see if there are minor problems with regards to roof leak and other water issues.
