How the hell did we grow up without the internet?

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of the wonder of it all....but I also wonder if our kids will ever know what down time ever feels like.......like a month with no internet? Perhaps that will be the new survival test?

Sorry, it just struck me the scope of information for a simple question.
