Long story that I do not wish to repeat. It is all documented in the original thread and this one somewhat.

I don't blame you: The original thread was deleted by Administration.

So here goes: I signed a contract and IMMEDIATELY told them we are NOT SELLING THE HOUSE PERIOD.
I have followed your thread with interest.

We have had an interesting experience w/ a local agent (who I met at a local Farmers Market, she had a booth). I was gathering info for the future sale of our home.
She became relentless in her pursuit of our listing, showing up at our door asking to see the house, making suggestions as to our landscaping etc. We told her time after time that we were not ready to sell for a couple of years. She always had a buyer for our house and had a price in mind. We continued to blow her off and will NEVER list this house w/ her!

You felt obligated to sign a 2 year contract w/ an agent that you do not trust. Thank goodness you didn't have to sell in that time period.

When you decide to sell you will be smarter in your selection of agents/agencies. Use some of your skills as a Social Worker to select your next agent. Interview a lot of them and use some modified Motivational Interview Techniques. You have the skills and the knowledge of your neighbourhood. Watch every home in your vicinity, not just the neighbours home.
Good Luck!

Maybe there is something I am missing, but why would anyone sign on with a Realtor if they have no intention of selling??

My so-called inconsistencies are not that. I have overall stated without veering off that our house is in far better condition without question.

Her house will require tens of thousands to match up to ours, period.
Service Magic is a paid referral service, basically it means nothing that your appraiser was "screened by them".
Your inconsistencies where right there in black and white.

I thought you were done with us a while ago since you proclaimed you were right and everyone else was wrong.

Doesn't help at all, your prior inconsistencies make any of your posts invalid to me.

What was your first clue, lol?

This is pretty scary that the OP is a licensed social worker.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed this. For $99 plus a fee per referral anyone could be a contractor with service magic. And from my experience, Service Magic is not highly regarded among professional contractors.

I am not a realtor. But this post makes me empathize with realtors because of all the different types of clients they have to deal with. This must be an art in itself, dealing with folks that are perpetual victims or folks that accuse the realtor of forcing them to agree to things, etc.

I think that is why former teachers make great real estate agents. They are used to dealing with children.

I don't understand why you got a realtor if you're not going to sell. I don't understand why you had it appraised if you're not going to sell. Appraisals are only valid for a few months.
