I am selling a house in another state and it will be closed up all the time between showings. Is there a way to have it stay fresh smelling between visits? Maybe you folks have some ideas. Unfortunately, closed-up with a cloying, perfumey smell would probably be worse.

Set the furnace fan to run continuously, to at least move the air around inside the house.
Have someone open the house to air out from time to time.
Well, I do keep the ceiling fans on. Now I'll also keep the house fan on as well. I would like to keep some windows opened, but there are creepy-crawly and flying things out there that would delight in building spiderwebs and wasp nests in the space between the screen and the open window. Ah, nature.
One thing I did wonder about. Would drying herbs (like rosemary) also help? Spice-scented diffuesrs?
Honestly my mother-in-law got these and they are PERFECT for "closed up" houses / vacation rentals. There is a little battery operated sprayer that you set to go off like "once in a while" "frequently" "all the time". Lasts months on "once in a while".
Nice CLEAN not perfumy "aqua essence fresh" scent is best --
Ask your agent to open a couple of windows a day about every 2 weeks and turn on ceiling fans. If you have a 2 story home he can do the ones upstairs and be more secure. Just make sure he closes them that evening.
