Someone could make a fortune if they could just come up with a quality, organized site comparable to local MLS's with guidelines showing the simple paperwork involved on both sides. People that have already been thru several buy/sells, and have paid attention, know they and the mortgage companies have to do most of the work.
This is long overdue. Realtor fees have only added to the inflated costs of real estate over decades.
The ONLY REASON a seller would try to sell his own home is to save the commission paid to a Realtor. What makes you think that same seller would pay ANYTHING to list his home on a FSBO website?
I would assume because the cheap SOB's would not pay for service.....LOL
Maybe that accounts for a lot of our inflationary costs over the last several decades... too many lazy SOB's paying $$$$ for personal services that could have done at a fraction of the cost if they'd just done it themselves.

Well we did. As mentioned, we paid a flat-fee listing agency $300 to sell FSBO.

Several people tried but I think Zillow will corner this. Most FSBO's put their homes on Zillow. I doubt they will get into the paperwork aspect of things though. 50 states with 50 different real estate laws...they would have to pay a team of people (ie attorneys) to keep up with real estate changes and create forms that would work in each state. It would be cost prohibitive to do so.
No.. they had a license and you paid a discount broker for reduced services. You mistake this for FSBO and it is not.
People mistake this for FSBO but you actually used a broker and the MLS system.
and they are legally represented by that agent.
