Holy cow! I know from House Hunters International that monthly rents in excess of $5K are not unusual but to buy? That's insane.

Housing in our area is running in the $100-200/sq ft.

In places in the US, most choose to rent where prices are not affordable. Unfortunately there is no choice for people who live in the densely populated areas.

I'm glad more places are not priced like those extremes of $2k to $5k per square foot.
