Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed reading this article. The part about "mold like substance" made me laugh out loud.

The one I see the most, which now makes me cringe, is "resort like back yard" and "vacation at home" just because there is a pool in back.

Every time I see "Stunning Home," I can only think of a cattle prod. Or a TASER...

Hit the nail on the head with "level lot" in CT. It's not always easy to find such a thing, especially if your not right on the shoreline.

(Not really, davebarnes. There is a rule floating around that an apostrophe should be used after an acronym series of capital letters. MLS's, ABC's, etc. Poor apostrophe, so misunderstood.)

Back on topic, I love terms like 'mature landscaping' = overgrown, 'extensive gardens' = someone planted a couple of shrubs,
'next to transportation' = next to the airport, etc. These are never used on high end properties.

In my area "beachside" means anywhere east of the last bridge even though it might be two miles from the beach. "Beachside" will be upgraded to "ocean view" if there is a tiny sliver of a peek of a distant ocean between buildings. "Steps to beach" means no view and could literally be 1000 steps. We call porches "Florida rooms".

And another annoyance often found in the agent remarks, "easy to show" apparently includes those showings that require a 24 hour advance notice and driving to the listing office to pick up keys. Are you hearing me gold blazer guy?

My favorite; Possible mountain view from second story window. Used in listings for bare building lots.

I wonder if before you buy, you are supposed to take a ladder and climb up to see if you can see the mountains from 12 feet above ground level?

I've seen lots listed with "possible ocean view from second story".

Seriously, if you must climb up onto the roof to get a tiny glimpse, it really is not a view lot.

They did that for a house near me.
An old one-story house 4350 Xavier St, Denver, CO 80212 - Zillow
I was walking by and noticed scaffolding that reached above the chimney.
It took me awhile to realize why it was there.
