I thought some of you might be amused by this choice listing from Long Island, including a host of great pictures: 5 Ronnie Ln, Bethpage, NY 11714 | Listing Information | MLSLI.com - Long Island Real Estate. To those of you who aren't familiar with the area, this is anything but the "deal of the century."

I agree, who would want to live on Long Island?

Default Wow!

Just 5 houses away from the Expressway. So very quiet.
Taxes are only $11.5K per year. So, only $1000 a month.
Plenty of sleeping space in that lovely, yellow, flat-roofed dormer stuck on top of the house.

And they want a cash only buyer and everything is as is. I would live in my car before buying that house.

It's like a lesson in how NOT to show a house.

What is with the roll of paper towels in every room of the house??

*shudder*

BTW, most Long Islanders would kill to have taxes this low, so I guess your comment highlights the geographical difference and how much more you get for your money in Denver. A home like this in other parts of the Island could carry taxes into the middle or upper teens.

I understand intellectually, but I am still horrified emotionally.
The property tax rate in Denver is about 0.7% per year.

For example
964 S Gaylord St, Denver, CO 80209 - Zillow
in one of Denver's most desirable neighborhoods.
