Testing for mold (buying a house, buyer, buying, water)

A buddy of mine is buying a house. There was water damage at one time. Is there any noninvasive way to test for mold? If the moisture level is low, does that reassure the buyer that there is no chance of mold?

I think you can buy kits at Home Depot to test. I don't know how effective they are.

Just because the water leak dried up and the moisture is low DOES NOT mean there is no mold.
