Where did you buy? Why did you buy in a terrible area or did it decline after you were there?

It should sell fast (within days) if it is even semi decent. There is nothing available on the market (at least in many parts of South Shore Nassau County- I didn't look elsewhere). The housing market isn't any better now for buyers than it was in May... few houses available...

I predict we will see the OP posting within two to three weeks raving and raving about how much he LOVES his new area... on the LI forum of course....

I met two Long Islanders last night at the fireworks in Goochland (r.u.r.a.l.). They relocated to a rural area one town over. The couple just said they left because it was too expensive there for them (not sure of their jobs-- She mentioned working in an office in Merrick), but they were soooo excited I was moving there and told me how much I would enjoy it (besides the scary three feet of snow stories)! Soooo glad I met them. They were from Massapequa. ..and not bitter at all... YAY!!!! The woman even told my son, "You are going to love New York!":-)

Yes it might sound negative how I feel. What dose it say about a place where you work and sacrifice all your life. You grow old then forced to move from your home because of the taxes. You sell your house, the buyers are only looking for a hand out. They say you purchased for far less why not come down in the price.

Well you will be happy with this outcome. My real estate broker just left. She is happy with the condition of my home. She told me , too her amazement why would anyone buy on LI. She commented there will be no need of staging or de cluter . Lets put it rght on the market. The sign has been planted , hopefully this would be a quick sale.

We spent my whole closing talking about how hard it is to live on LI...buyers attorney asked us a million questions about NC...then we all sort of collectively noticed the looks on the faces of the buyers LOL....made sure we changed the subject till we got those checks!
