Hi. Location is DFW.

How does a homebuyer apply for USDA Grants and Loans for purchasing homes in rural areas?

What are the amounts of the Grants? What are the income qualifications?

Is it necessary to put the USDA information in your Purchase Contract?

Thanks.

You may find more accurate answers on a search engine. I'd still visit a reliable real estate agent in person. Most likely 3 or more and see if they all talk the same talk.

There are no USDA grants to purchase homes. The grants are available to existing homeowners age 62 or over in applicable areas. They are used only to make certain permitted improvements to homes or to make a home handicap accessible for a resident.

USDA mortgage loans are probably what you are thinking of. You can find info on their website about home prices and income limits. However, a better way is to speak to at least 2-3 mortgage reps at banks/ mortgage companies of your choosing. They will have the info for you and can walk your through the process and pre-qualify you.

You need to do the pre-qualifying before you even think about looking at houses or having a real agent write up a contract. No point going to contract if you don't qualify for the loan or if the house is not in a
designated area. Just being rural isn't enough. Good luck . This is a good program if you can use it.
