A pair of New Jersey realtors are being taken to court after hidden cameras caught them having "sexual escapades" in a client's vacant house.
A lawsuit filed Dec. 6 claims that Robert Lindsay, a former Coldwell Banker real estate agent and past president of the Passaic County Board of Realtors, listed a North New Jersey home artificially above market value so that he could carry on a series of trysts with fellow agent Jeannemarie Phelan.
At least from what I saw in the article, it seems that the owners are alleging the agent might have artificially priced the home higher than warranted so it would stay vacant longer.
Not sure why you would do that as I am sure that the guy has more than one house for sale at a given time.
One of the comments from the link: He took location, location, location to position, position, position.
Funny it doesn't mention if either are married. I think its tacky either way. I hire someone to sell my home, not use it as a motel 6. If they've been doing this a lot, look at the motel fees they've saved at their clients expense.
As for the price, shame on him if that's what he did and he deserves to be sued. I bet that'd be hard to prove, unless it was outrageously overpriced.
Adds a whole new meaning to the phrase "short" sale.....
