What happens if a condo building gets bedbugs?

Do they crawl from condo to condo? Does it imply millions of dollars in losses? How are such problems solved?

This could be true of any infestation. Bedbugs, roaches, ants, spiders, scorpions, termites. Like all infestations you have to terminate the source. Usually a professional exterminator is capable of handling these items. In most cases the condo HOA takes care of large infestations. Although the best advice is to never get them to begin with.

A condo is not an HOA. Similar but not the same thing. Different entities with their own rules and regulations as governed by the state and the association covenants.

As to the original question, in an infestation, the entire building would need to be treated at once to effectively deal with it. In that case, either the condo reserves would be used or there would be an assessment on all members.
