Most states monitor sales to international buyers. For example:

shows, in detail, the nationalities buying in the state of Georgia. You can do a Google search, "International Real Estate Sales (insert state here) and get an idea of trends for a particular area.

A CIPS-certified agent (Certified International Property Specialist) will be very familiar with international buying and selling trends.

You supplied statistics regarding international buyers.

You DO know that many Chinese buyers are Americans right???

Do you have any stats that breakdown purchases by ethnicity? That would be helpful.

I have a friend looking for a place in Cambridge, Massachusetts who says most of the properties she looks at are being bought in all cash deals by Chinese Nationals. I have no actual evidence to support this assertion.

That's possible, I suppose. If you take away the unions and the political corruption, Detroit has a lot going for it as far as manufacturing goes.
