What is with all the crosses people have ALL OVER their walls in groupings???? I find it to be a turnoff! I think agents should advise sellers to remove those so listing photos are not overwhelmed with them.
Most agents would gently recommend that sellers remove all personal items, such as photos and religious memorabilia. Perhaps these sellers didn't listen. We once had a buyer that refused to look at a house because it had a mezuzah by the front door

People are weird. *sigh*
That's not weird. It's anti-semitic. I'm very sorry that you had to deal with clients like that.

I find houses that have 4 or 5 fake plants in each room to be a turnoff and I think agents should have clients thin those out.
But I don't ridicule or make personal judgments about it. Next time try the Religion forum.
I read somewhere that when staging your house for sale, a potential buyer should not be able to tell anything about your personal interests or what your family looks like.
I don't care if they pray to a tomato plant. I just want to see the house so I can make a decision on buying it or not. Then I'll paint it renovate it and either live in it or sell it. It's a house. Whoever lived in it and their religion makes absolutely not one bit of difference to me. And it really shouldn't for anyone else. When they leave, their religion goes with them if you're that worried about it. What are people so worried about? It's not like the religion, beliefs quirks or medical issues of the last owner is gonna rub off on you because you bought their house
I'm Agnostic and I would rather see a tasteful grouping of crosses on the wall than one of those switch plates of a naked man and the light switch is his thingie. Gross!
It's not my taste but it's never bothered me. People tend to take their personal property with them once they sell a house so I don't pay any attention to their decor.
At least when they do that I know the wall can hold up artwork without falling over.
I ask sellers to remove all religious and school things. You would be amazed how many Longhorns won't buy an Aggie house and vice verse. I once had buyers buy a house because there were two diplomas, one from each school and their words, kid you not, were "if they can make it work in this house, so can we..." Granted, this helped sell the house, but in many other cases, I'm sure it hindered the sale.
Just remove everything that is personal.
