Yes...but a Seller could try to change the terms of the original listing contract to accommodate any type of concession. Of course, a Broker would need to agree to any of those terms, but a Seller could try. It is quite apparent from reading these threads that listing agreements vary considerably.
Just to clarify: a Seller could try to change the terms of a PROPOSED listing contract...
Found this comment from a listing agent on another forum. Thought it worth reposting here. "All buyers deserve to have proper representation and it's impossible if the listing agent is doing his job properly. My team and I are listing agents, and we ONLY represent the seller. There are always bumps in the road to the closing table, and buyers without representation are at a great disadvantage. Our seller will always win if the buyer is without representation."
