Photos look great to me as well.

The listing will certainly be memorable, but I am not sure the presence of the people will do them any favors in selling. For that to happen, a buyer would want to identify with the current owners, and although the current owners may be funsters, 95% of folks have their own vibe and would say 'this is not the place for me'. As for the dog...he is a plus (but just to animal lovers)!

I did a FSBO and I had the dog in one picture series of the living room lol. I kept moving her as I moved around taking pictures and finally she was like "I'm done" and refused to move and just looked at me. I just shrugged and took the picture anyway. Another picture had the kitten in it on accident (didn't realize it until I posted it).

My pictures were actually worlds better then the realtor that I had it listed before with.

Course, I had minimal interest and just ended up renting but I thought my pictures looked pretty durn good but I'm biased

The couple in the picture is minorly distracting, but the hows photographs and shows well. Frankly, I've seen plenty of pro listings looking online that were much worse.

I can think of reasons why an FSBO would not be a good idea for many people, but bad photographs is at the bottom of the list.

PS. Photos are actually funny. And if people are talking about them, it can only help them sell the house, not hurt the sale.

Figured I'd add the listing from my agent, minimal interest despite consistently dropping the price to well below appraised value.

I don't get why people would put themselves in their listing pictures, but at least they are kind of funny and memorable. I thought the pics would be a lot worse, based on the OP.

Appraised value by who?

A house usually only sells at a price comparable to others in the areas. These are called comps. So if you are priced much higher than comparables, it wont sell.

I would assume that there is no interest because the home isn't listed for sale. Zillow, Trulia, Realtor show it as "not for sale"

Might want to fix that......
