Hello, I live in the Raleigh area now but have a home for sale in the different state. My home has been on the market since April 2014. I know the housing market is a bit slow where my home is located but what concerns me is a lack of communication from my selling agent. She was our buying agent years ago and did a great job. She then retired part time and is selling homes occassionally. We never heard one word from her and only communicate with the broker of the agency who shows the home to people. We never hear any feed back and never know when the house is shown. Our contract will be up in a few months and I think I might need to change realtors. I don't know if they are trying to keep everything "in house" or what but it is frustrating. We also mentioned a price reduction of several thousand and the broker said she was more comfortable with a smaller reduction. We just want to get really settled in the Raleigh area and buy a home but this is slowing us down. Any advice?

Over a year on the market even today seems insane. New agent now.

Most agency contracts don't even last more than 6 months, and most let you break them if you're not satisfied. Remember, the commission comes out of your pocket so your right to find the best agent!

part time realtor = useless realtor. Get a new realtor who is interested in selling the house. Yesterday.
