I had a listing that sold, on August 7. As of today, it is till "for sale" on Zillow and Trulia. I wonder what day they will get their information correct.

What promptefd this is that I got my weekly Trulia email telling me how this was my most popular listing for the last week. Almost 1000 people looked at this listing, thinking it was for sale. Alas, it had not been, of course
636 Sarah Lawrence Court, Raleigh, NC For Sale | Trulia.com

Wondering if maybe, just maybe, Zillow Group was allowing Trulia to wither on the vine so they could shut it down, I checked the mothership, hoping they'd have accurate information ... 12 days after it closed. Alas, no luck ...

636 Sarah Lawrence Ct, Raleigh, NC 27609 is For Sale | Zillow

In this individual home's case, we previously had one unsuccessful contract, which led my sellers to consider renting. So, we put it out there for rent, though within about 10 days we negotiated the eventual offer. On June 29th, it was removed a rental...it just kept showing up on Zillow, Trulia, and most importantly the "Homes.com" website. I even got a rental call on it this Monday, August 17 ... 47 days later.

You have to update your listings as sold on both sites manually.

Trulia is claiming that they are integrating both websites, we shall see.

ListHub no longer maintains your Z and T listings. Like Sean says, it is up to you.

My photo tour vendor handles those syndications for me, but I need to check them.

Bo, It could work out well for you. Just take all those inquiries on that property and sell them something else. Now that I think about it, it might be a good strategy to never remove a sold listing. More leads for us and less credibility for ZT.

You are complaining that the house is still up on the site and getting attention when it is no longer available yet you reposted the link to the listing on a public website?

Funny because when my agent makes changes (lowering price) it shows up within a day on Zillow although I have noticed that they are slow to update "sold & pending" statuses.

When I look on Zillow, I scroll down to the section that says "price history" to double check. On your example it does say that the house was sold.

The agent is responsible for the ad, and for complaints regarding advertising a property that is not actually for sale.

Unless there are complaints I imagine ZT is OK with the increased traffic. When there are complaints they probably treat those the same way they treat bad reviews for valued advertising agents or complaints from Surbiton about his Zestimate.
