Well it would be very helpful if you informed everyone if you wish to OWN a home ... or rent a place

If you have enough money to pay for your utility and damage deposits (and probably first and last month's rent in General Atlanta), you are perhaps ready to look for a place. (It would be good to have a month or two expenses (or more) depending on the stability of your income.

What type of regular income can you depend on? -- You probably don't want to exceed 30-40% for rent and utilities. (Also calculate other items in your budget: Transportation, food, utilities, entertainment, clothes, etc).

Next figure out where you want to live (proximity to work, school or other); access to public transportation or own vehicle?; neighborhood and amenities.

Will you need a furnished or unfurnished place; How about sharing a place or subletting a room?

Are you paying rent and expenses now (parents or ??)-- The regularity of paying the bills on-time is a good starting place for being on your own.
