It's mid century; it's just not modern.

Good find! And I see in the end credits they gave abundant thanks to the homeowners and to dearly departed grandma for use of the house

Where's Sinatra, Joey Bishop and Dean? I hope whoever buys it leaves it as is, except the hideous kitchen. I'd rather have an untouched 50's home, but this one is cool.

I think the decor is hideous. I wouldn't buy the thing, even if I had the money to do it.

If I somehow ended up owning it, I'd probably try to sell it right away.

It wold be a fun place to visit and take pics in. I couldn't live there as is, but it looks amazingly well kept. Hopefully the new owners have an extra home so they can keep it as a show piece. It is 100% impractical for real life.

Living in the Bay Area, it looks like a steal. That is the same price as a newer 1 bedroom condo in San Francisco.

If they hadn't of destroyed the home by redoing the kitchen and bathroom, yes, I'd keep in exactly as it is.

Since they redid those two, I'd gut the entire thing.

I'd save the sofas and have the living room decorated around them. And the chandeliers.

Those sofas are pretty fab.
Palm Springs isn't too far from LA. Just about 90 minutes at the right time. It was a hpgetaway spot for old Hollywood because they had to stay within 100 miles of the studio and that was exactly it.

I figured that the only thing you could get in Palm Springs for under $1 million would be either a very dumpy, tiny, outdated ranch that needs gutted or a very nice garage.
Palm Springs real estate is surprisingly cheap. I saw some pretty decent condos with prices starting with 1xx,xxx in good locations. Considering 60s fabulous unrenovated studios in my neighborhood are $300k in my neighborhood, I was thinking that my first home should be a second home in Palm Springs.
