Looks like something you might find in some parts of our area. (West Coast of central FL)

and what do the neighbors think?

The older people in this town are pretty vocal with their hate. They want to keep the 1940s 1950s crap shacks that are being demolished.

I think that particular one is beautiful, but in general, I do find many new homes lack the "character" of old homes.

Default Progress is about moving forward

At 5250 sqft, I think it certainly qualifies as huge.

But, hey, it's a bargain at $3.2M

We have the same issue in our neighborhood.
The old timers are happy that the Latino gangs no longer rule, but they hate the new modern houses like mine.

I think its beautiful. Must be somewhere warm. Flat roof is a bad idea for heavy snow.

In Florida, a lot of the newer homes had chinese drywall issues and were very poorly made. I won't even look at a home that was built between 2000 - 2010.

I see a lot of "new" homes that are manufactured homes which look like they would blow away with a category 1 hurricane. But some of the new, block construction homes are lovely.

It's typical of the faux Mediterranean McMansion that has stricken many traditional neighborhoods for about 15 years now.

Not all original houses are "crap shacks."
