A is best. D is worst. At least, that's what I heard somewhere.
Just enter the zip.
Phoenix...85001 is a D.
Colorado springs 80919 is a C.
Sammamish 98075 (my town!) (Whch sucks, because I want a cheap house!) is "low risk."
Wonder if that is an "A". It didn't say "A". It said "low risk." Oh well.
Well, I was curious to try it. Even if there is some truth to it, it certainly doesn't differentiate between zip codes. Looks like it gives you the same score regardless of the location and this is never the case. Since apparently the whole city of Tucson is considered a C, I wanted to see if it ever shows a different grade and plugged in 90210. It's a D, but I'm pretty sure nobody living there is too worried about it.
Dam, I am in "old steady eddy MN" (south metro) and my home and work zip both got a "D"! Ouch.
I am breaking the NAR commercial currently running that says real estate generally doubles in value every 10 years. I bought my house in 10/03 and it is worth less than I paid 4 1/2 years later! This next 5 1/2 years there is really going to have to be some strong catching up going on.
Well, I pulled up the white house, and around Federal Hill. Their grades were all C's. It looks like the president is in the same boat as the rest of us. Atleast he doesn't have to worry about selling and losing equity when he moves .
In upper NW Montana I ran the zip and got:
The Grade for the property in ZIP Code 59912 is Low Risk
as of Friday, February 15, 2008 11:06:35 AM, Ok the price may not have gone down but vitually nothing is selling....

Too Funny.
Countrywide doesn't even list me in their problem list. This one tells me I'm in deep doo doo.
