We are looking at homes and I think it would be useful to use a tool to measure some stuff as we go.
Is there a particular brand or model that is widely used by Real estate pros , inspectors etc?
Amazon has so many , with masses of reviews by all sorts of folks....
Just wondering if there is a very popular go to brand or model , so as to take out the guess work and just buy one that will be easy to use and actually work.
Of course I am referring to those laser measuring tools to grab dimensions of room length width height etc.
I've used a couple of those electronic measuring devices and haven't found one, yet, that is reliably accurate. To be honest, it's just easier to carry a 1" wide tape measure.
I have seen some apps for iPhone that can be used to measure and even map out floor plans but I haven't used them.
I agree, old fashioned tape measure. If you want to go high tech, then accept that you are doing it only for high tech's sake. They are more complicated, more prone to failure, and not necessarily more accurate.
Real estate agents use a tool that always adds 9.64 extra sqft and reduces driving/commuting time by 17.3 minutes.
