Today marks one year of my home ownership. I could not be happier or feel more secure. It went by quick too, time flies when you are having fun.

24 years in August, paid $199k, now worth $700k. On the other hand, property taxes were less than $2,000/year when we bought, now $6,500.

With the frequency of moving and moving up... a better Q to ask:
How much of your adult life (post age 25?) has been as a homeowner?

Closed on this house on March 14, 2016. We owned our previous home for 14 years. Home before that we had for 5 years (one year we owned both houses).

I answered less than one year because I just closed on this house three weeks ago.
However, I owned a house from 2008-2013. I sold to relocate back to my home state.
