interesting, but should probably go on the 'house' forum.
It will be a controversy soon enough. Give it just a little more time. I promise that the number 1 issue won't be that they didn't select a large enough house.
"Wishing they had bought a larger home was the top disappointment."
Imbeciles.
Why are they imbeciles? House prices are going up quickly, so people are spending more per square foot. It's not surprising that people are not happy that the amount of square footage their house budget buys this year is 5% smaller than it was last year.

What are you getting at? I don't understand what the point of this post was...
Just asking, not looking for an argument or anything.

Are you envious of people who can buy houses?
There are many reasons that they are imbeciles. For one, they are stealing from future generations because McMansions are unsustainable. That will prove to be the biggest issue, looking back.
Interest rates are rising, tight oil producers are losing money hand over fist, central banks are talking about deleveraging their balance sheets, retail is a mess, and the only regret these people have is that they didn't buy a big enough house???
Sorry, but I didn't have $650K laying around when I bought my house.
