This is what happened to us also. People were "approved" for a certain amount, allowing them to "look" in our price range, but when they did the numbers, there was no way they should have even looked.
Needless to say, we also got low balled, about the same time as you. I was going to come here to see how you two were making out.
After 3 offers, we also should be closed at the end of this month.
It was a horrible time, my hubby had a fall in October, out of work 2 months, market was dead.
We haven't moved into our new home yet and after the events of him being out of work, may be homeless for a few days.
